Wellness Discount Guidelines for 2018 – General Distribution
The ARBenefitsWell program will again offer a monthly discount off premiums for active employees for the 2018 plan-year. The amount of the discount will be determined later this year when rates for the 2018 plan year are set.
The requirements to earn the discount remain the same as in 2016. In order to be eligible for the discount, employees and covered spouses on the ARBenefits plan will need to complete the following:
1. Employees and spouses covered by ARBenefits will again have to take the online Health Assessment offered by GuidanceResources®. Members can access the Health Assessment by going to www.guidanceresources.com.
2. Employees, and covered spouses, must have a wellness visit conducted by a physician in an office setting. Claims for wellness visits must be processed through Health Advantage to count towards the discount.
Health Assessments and wellness visits must be completed by October 31, 2017 in order to be eligible for the discount. Be aware that providers have up to six months to submit a claim. To avoid paying a higher premium at the beginning of the 2018 plan year, participants may wish to complete their wellness visit prior to June 30, 2017 to ensure the claim from their visit is submitted prior to the end of the year. EBD will count wellness visits completed November 1, 2016 – October 31, 2017 towards the discount.
